Working and living in Barcelona
Barcelona being the biggest non-capital city of Europe and arguably the world is a haven for professionals who are starting out or making another whack at life. Since the tourism industry is at the highest of highs in this city, a big chunk of Barcelona’s work force comes from waiters, waitresses, restaurant and hotel professionals, as well as real estate agents.
Speaking real estate, homes in Spain, specifically in Barcelona, sell like pancakes. Several expats and tourists have already established their residence in Barcelona, citing the conditions of living a primary reason of the move. Barcelona’s urban and rural real estate has a particular allure about them that makes them a magnet to home buyers. That said, Barcelona realtors are having a high time at this city.
Now that houses have been tackled, another bunch of big earners in Barcelona are housekeepers and other household employees. Most of Barcelona’s elite do not have much time in managing their household (or they are just plain lazy) that they require the services of house sitter to do household keeping and maintenance for them.
Apart from all that, Barcelona is a booming city, which makes it a good destination for retirement and work.
