Punisher: War Zone Coming Soon

PunysherWhile The Punisher is one of my favorite superheroes minus the super powers, The Punisher movie is a shame, hands down. Blame it on bad acting, bad script, and bad overall film management. The movie and the unborn film franchise undoubtedly needs redemption. Of course, it takes another actor, another director, and another plot to make every Punisher die hard to forget the fiasco known as The Punisher starring Thomas Jane.

The new and upcoming movie, The Punisher: War Zone, is not a sequel to its predecessor. Slated for theatrical release on December 5, 2008, The Punisher: War Zone fields Ray Stevenson (Outpost, King Arthur) as the crime-busting vigilante Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, with the iconic skull shirt and Dominic West (300) as the Punisher’s arch nemesis Jigsaw.

Unlike the first film where police are not around most of the time, The Punisher: War Zone states that a police task force has been created to hunt the vigilante down. At this point, the Punisher has already been doing rounds eradicating crime syndicates and bogging down crime activities.

I can’t say whether the film is any good but the as far the trailer is allowed to expose to the public, The Punisher: War Zone looks better than the Thomas Jane-flick.
