Pac-JMM 3?

After the thrilling stoppage of Joel Casamayor, every boxing fan has this question in mind: “Will there be Pacquiao-Marquez III?â€

Most people are saying that a rubber match between the two should be in line, especially now that JMM wrested the Ring’s lightweight belt from Casamayor in a convincing fashion. For boxing analysts and aficionados, if Pacquiao goes on to win against Dela Hoya in their upcoming bout on December 6, he must answer JMM’s challenge to the ring for a third bout.

JMM deserves another shot at Pacquiao, especially with their record still unsettled. Their first match ended in a draw that proved that they can go head-to-head. The second match was so close that could have gone either way. The point is, Pacquiao has not defeated Marquez, nor did Marquez beat Pacquiao. A third match is to set the records straight.

Both fighters entered the lightweight banging and booming. Pacquiao rocked Diaz, JMM blasted Casamayor. But it was JMM who fought against the toughest of the lightweights. Diaz, as any boxing expert would concur, was the softest mark in the said division. Now that there are 3 of them sharing the top spot in the lightweight ranks, with Nate Campbell holding three lightweight title, all three should find a way to get a whack at each other to be named the best in their position.
