iPod’s Newest and Slimmest Nano
On September 9, 2008, Steve Jobs introduced Apple’s 4th generation iPod Nano at the “Let’s Rock” event in San Francisco. Dubbed the slimmest Nano ever, it features a curved, all aluminum case and glass screen. Its height, though, is similar to that of the 1st and 2nd generation versions so that this new iPod is both tall and thin. Another attractive feature and come-one of this new Nano is its 9 fashionably bright “nano-chromatic” colors.
Aside from the abovementioned details, some of the most interesting (and intriguing?) features of this 4th generation iPod Nano are:
- It has an accelerometer which allows the user to flip through albums through Cover Flow when the player is turned sideways. This is how the user can auto-rotate the screen.
- If the user wants to choose a different song, all he needs to do is shuffle his player and voila!, he’ll get the music he wants!
- This slim iPod Nano has a Genius playlist which can be activated by holding down the clickwheel’s center button. This feature virtually allows the user access to a “personal DJ”.
- Aside from music, it also lets the user take the brightest photos in landscape and portrait views. He will also be able to play a variety of games on his new Nano.
- For its physical features, this new Nano version has an enhanced user interface (UI) and a 2-inch widescreen display.
Jobs’ newest iPod baby is available in 8GB (at $149) and 16GB (at $199). Save some up some dough now so you can grab one for yourself soon!
